With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Roger Lee Parker, Sr., on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Adena Fayette Medical Center, at the age of 70. Born on December 3, 1954, in London, Ohio, Roger was a son of Effie (Yohn) and George Parker.
Roger was a graduate of Madison Plains High School and went on to work several jobs over his career including his favorite position at Tolles Career and Technical Center where he worked from 1994 until his retirement in 2017. Roger was a member of the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association for over thirty years, where he proudly served on the board as chaplain and treasurer for several years. He was also a long-time member of the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian Union. His true passion could be found on old tractors, and the time he spent working with them. Roger also deeply loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers Marion Parker, George Parker Jr., Robert Parker, Ben Parker, and Carl Parker, as well as his sister Rose Ann (Parker) Leasure.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Connie (Dorn) Parker; sons: Roger Parker Jr. and Jason Parker, daughter Cindy Parker-Haring; grandchildren: Colleen (Parker) Tolliver, Gabby and Alexis Parker, Christina and Caroline Haring; great-grandchildren: Kynlee Daniels and Kaylee Tolliver; siblings: Mary (Parker) Berner, Helen (Parker) Carswell, Judy (Parker) Wilson, Chuck Parker, Betty Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Parker family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM in the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian Union, 60 South Street, Sedalia, Ohio 43151 with Reverend Gordon Ell officiating. Interment will follow in Range Township Cemetery.
