Roger W. Cox, 86, of London, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Born in Madison County on May 31, 1939, he was a son of Austin William "Bill" and Mary Irene (Burns) Cox.
A lifelong, faithful and very active member of the London Church of the Nazarene, Roger had been a Sunday School teacher, bus minister, church board member, Missionary President and had served as a missionary to several countries. He retired from DeSoto Chemicals.
Survivors include his daughters Teresa Morris, Deidra (Raymond) Kimbler and Tonya (Steven) Thomas; grandchildren Brittney Kimbler, Josh (Bri) Thomas, Sarah (Kyle) Sesslar, Seth (Amy) Thomas, Anthony Salinas, Steve (Jamie) Kimbler, Melissa (Tim) Weaver and Roxanne Meyers; great-grandchildren Gage, Kristin, Gabriel, Pierce, Anthony, Reagan, Daniel, Kylie, Skylair, Josiah, Riley, MacKailyn, Titan, Odin, Achilles, Zion, Harlow, Ava, Raeann, Noah, Hannah, Chad, Jr., Quinn, Lettie, Leo, Ellsworth and Jackson; many great-great grandchildren; sister Virginia (Sid) Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Linda Cox.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Irene Cox, wife Columbia Rose (Hopkins) Cox, brothers Butch Cox and Tom Cox, son-in-law Bob Morris, grandsons Chad Morris and Timothy Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the London Church of the Nazarene, 224 Elm Street, London, with Mr. Joshua Thomas officiating. Friends may call at the church from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday.
Memorials in Roger's name may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or the Mission Fund at the London Church of the Nazarene.
