WELLS Robert "Bob" David Wells, 54, formerly of London, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Zusman Hospice in Bexley, Ohio. Bob was born on March 16, 1960 to David Eugene "Gene" and Aureta "Petey" Wells. Bob was a graduate of Madison Plains High School Class of 1978. He enjoyed rock climbing, caving, ice skating, ballroom dancing and camping. Bob was a 25 year employee of The Ohio State University and was Lab Coordinator with the Department of Physics at the time of his death. He was presented the 2011 Distinguished Staff Award for The Ohio State University, an honor given to only 12 employees of The Ohio State University for their exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the university. Bob enjoyed his colleagues and the many OSU students that he had the pleasure of working with. He considered them his family. Survivors include his parents; sisters Marci (John) Darlington, Lori Kidwell (Kory Metcalf); brother Doug (Karen) Wells, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family Jamie Wells, Matt (Amy) Hall and children, Mike (Katie) Hall and children, Jennie (Ben) Bertkes and children; and good friend Mark Studer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles and several cousins. The family will have a gathering to celebrate Bob's life at a later date. There will be no formal funeral service because Bob would come back and haunt us daily!
