BOYD
Robert "Bob" M. Boyd, 80, of London, died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Born November 13, 1944, in Summerford; he was a son of Anson M. and Virginia I. (Channell) Boyd.
Bob retired from Navistar as a supervisor. He started Boyd Doors, now known as Boyd Garage Doors. A longtime member of the Madison County Fish and Game, where he served as past president, he was also a member of the London Kiwanis, Aerie #950 FOE, and the Hilliard Moose Lodge #2236. A fun-loving individual, Bob enjoyed The OSU Buckeyes and NASCAR, but above all, spending time with his grandchildren were his favorite times.
Surviving Bob are his wife of 60 years Jean (Lohr) Boyd; daughter Carol (Eric) Semler, son Jeff (Chrissy) Boyd; grandchildren Codey (Savanna) Myers, Dylan (Lindsay) Myers, Baylee (Josh) Morehart, Reagyn Semler, Avery Semler, Erin (Michael) Peterman, Josh (Lindsay) Boyd and Austin (Emily) Boyd; great grandchildren Cali, Quinn, Luna, Oaklynn, Huxley, Nayvee, Kaislee, Kambree, Rayne, Makenzie, Levi and Ava; siblings Beverly Peters, Ronnie Boyd, Tom (Larraine) Boyd and Sandy Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Donnie Boyd, great granddaughter Realynn Peterman, sisters-in-law Sue Boyd and Judy Lohr Turvy, brother-in-law Dale Peters and parents-in-law Murray "Red" and Virginia Lohr.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to London Health and Rehabilitation for their care and compassion over the past few months.
Friends and family are invited for a time of gathering from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 18, 2025 in Oak Hill Cemetery, London, with Pastor Jody Pickett officiating.
