FISCHER

Robert Joseph Fischer, Sr., 86, of Clarkston, Michigan, died Monday, February 20, 2023, at his residence.

Born March 6, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of Frank and Trevis (Morgan) Fischer.

Bob had worked professionally in offset printing before retiring in 2000. He was also a member of the London First Presbyterian Church. Bob volunteered for Loving Care Hospice and the Welcome Table at St. Paul AME Church. Above anything else, he always cherished spending time with his family and making new memories together.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years Dolores Marie (Crawford) Fischer of Clarkston, Michigan; daughter Patricia Beery of Mt. Sterling, son Kenneth Fischer of Clarkston, Michigan, daughter-in-law Christy Fischer of West Jefferson; grandsons Jason Fischer of West Jefferson, Michael Beery of New Albany, Jesse Beery of Mt. Sterling; sister Evelyn (Lee) Chenea of Columbus.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Joseph Fischer, Jr; brother Jack Fischer and sister Florence Wright.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, beginning at 11:30 AM in the London First Presbyterian Church, 211 Garfield Avenue, London, Ohio 43140, with Rev. Désirée M. Youngblood, Pastor officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Deer Creek Township Cemetery, 1255 National Pike, London. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of services. Masks will be required for both visitation and funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that donations in Bob's name be made to Compassus Hospice, c/o Tammi Stover, 5445 Ali Drive, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Envelopes will be available at the church.
