PICKENS

Robert "Bob" E. Pickens, Sr., 74, of London, died Saturday, January 15, 2022, in his residence.

Born May 15, 1947, in Dayton, he was a son of Robert B. and Althea Pickens.

A US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, Bob had retired after 31 years from London Correctional Institution. After retiring, he worked in private security for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Joyce A. (Duffey) Pickens; daughter in law Tina Watkins, brothers James (Sue) Pickens and Richard (Cindy) Daily; sister-in-law Shirley Poland; cousins Betty Gregg, Brenda, Jim, and Jacob Hollar; several nieces and nephews and close friend David Hamby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Rob Pickens, Jr. in 2021.

Per the family's request, visitation nor funeral services will be observed.
