DOWNING Robert H. Downing, 78, of London died Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Madison Health. Born May 2, 1936 in Newport; he was a son of Harley and Bernice (Tootle) Downing. Robert retired after 44 years from Lennox as a Quality Control Manager and loved harness racing, was an avid sports fan, never missing a child's or grandchild's ball game. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Constance Lee (King); sons Robert L. (Cheryl) Downing of West Jefferson, David A. Downing and Kevin (Kim) Downing both of London, daughters Linda S. Giglio of London and Kathi J. (Mark) Frymier of Morrison, CO; grandchildren Ashley (Drew) Livengood, Brad Giglio (Ali), Kirsten Downing (Zach), Kory Downing, Rachel Frymier, Ben Frymier, Jacob Lowe and Jeremy Lowe, great grandson Tyler Lowe; sister Betty Jean Hoyt of West Jefferson, numerous nieces and nephews, brother in law Ted King. He was preceded in death by his brothers Howard (Mary) Downing and Glenn Downing and sister Bea (Bob) Evans. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Reverend Steve Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Wednesday.
