Robbye Lynn Salley, 85, of Anderson Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 9, 2025.
Born August 18, 1939, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Robbye was the daughter of John D. Liddle and Nelle M. (Jenkins) Liddle.
A proud graduate of Lawrenceburg Consolidated High School, Class of 1957. Robbye went on to follow her calling to care for others by earning her nursing degree from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1960.
She dedicated her life to service as a Registered Nurse, touching countless lives with compassion and grace. Robbye served faithfully at Mercy Hospital in Mariemont, OH, Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, OH, and Mercy St. Theresa in Mariemont, OH.
Robbye was the heart of her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She deeply cherished spending time with her family, and found great joy in bringing people together through the warmth of her home, and the comfort of her cooking. Her kitchen was a place of laughter, love, and unforgettable meals—always shared with open arms and a generous heart. She also enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels by her favorite author, Agatha Christie.
Robbye loved traveling with her beloved husband of 39 years, Glen, with whom she shared many wonderful adventures. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was among their most cherished destinations.
Robbye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen O. Salley; mother, Nelle (Jenkins) Liddle; father, John D. Liddle; brother Jay D. Liddle; and daughter Zina (Combs) Burnett.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughters, Darla Cox (Joe) and Deena Williamson (Rick); grandchildren, Michael Combs (Kenna), Brooklin Mabe (Aaron), Levi McClellan, Tyler Burnett, and Wyatt Williamson; great-grandchildren, Dylan Combs and Raighen Combs; her precious little Yorkie, Bella; and other extended family members.
Robbye will be remembered for her gentle spirit, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and her calling as a nurse. Her love, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family invites family and friends for visitation at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, from 10 AM-11 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Immediately following will be a graveside service at Kirkwood Cemetery, London, with Pastor Jody Pickett officiating.
