Ricky L. Boggs, age 69, of London, gained his angel wings on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Born November 18, 1955, in Franklin County, Ohio, Ricky was a son of William E. Boggs and Joyce E. (Skaggs) Boggs.

Ricky was the proud owner and tax preparer of Boggs Tax Service in Columbus, where he continuously served the Columbus area dedicating over 51 years of service. Never one to stay idle, Ricky also found enjoyment driving a school bus for Columbus City Schools devoting the last 15 years including working as an onboarding instructor for new drivers and even filling in to cover classes as needed.

A proud pilot, Ricky began his flying career early in life-taking his first solo flight at the age of 12! He was a longtime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter# 443 where he also belonged to their antique division. Additionally, he liked to collect John Deere Tractors, fishing, and flying out of his own landing strip.

Survivors are his wife of nearly 50 years Debbie (Myers) Boggs; daughters Katie (Ben) Harrington, Darcie (James) Burgess and Ashley (Ryan) Jones; grandchildren Jacob and Faith Noel, Tori, Grace and Andy Jones; bonus grandchildren: Doug and Brandon Burgess, Adam and Devin Jones, and Sophia Harrington; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ricky's family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North MAIN STREET, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gene Mattox officiating. Interment will follow in Big Plain Cemetery.
