SHAW

Rickey A. Shaw, age 76, of London, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Madison Health.

Born December 29, 1948, in London, he was the son of the late John Shaw and Florence (White) Shaw. Following high school, Rickey served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he earned his Purple Heart. After his time in the service, Rickey spent many years training and racing thoroughbred horses. Then worked as a lineman for the IBEW Local #71 where he later retired from.

Rickey enjoyed both restoring and showing muscle cars, but above all he was a family man and his family always came first, no matter what. A dependable man who kept things simple, Rickey will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his beloved wife Lynn (Roddy) Shaw; daughters Rae Ann Shaw (Lon Willey) and Shelby (AJ) Buschur; grandchildren: Hunter Mayabb (Hanna Reisinger), Hailey (Deion) Rockhold, Allison Adams (Conner Ray), Braxton Willey, Branson Willey, Korbyn Buschur, Ollie Buschur; great-grandson Myles Rockhold plus another baby boy on the way; brother Jim Shaw, sisters Serena Miller, and Sheila Amrine; numerous nieces and nephews including Kerry Fout, Terry Shaw, Marty Miller, and Melody Dillenger; many cousins including Joe White; special friends Harold Howerton, Jodi (Warren) Osborne, and his good friend/handyman Blake Whited.

Rickey was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Dick and Sue Roddy; brothers Bill Shaw and Johnny Shaw, sisters Virginia Gammell and Brenda Ellars.

Cremation will take place in accordance with Rickey's wishes. Public services will not be observed.
