GERARD Richard Campbell Gerard (87) of London, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 13th 2017 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. Born October 11, 1929 in Marysville, Ohio; he was the son of Gertrude Campbell and Ralph Gerard.Richard lived an accomplished life filled with love and laughter.A proud alumnus of The Ohio State University Richard and his first wife Mary Elizabeth Gerard moved to London, OH where he worked as Vice President of the Consumer Division for Century Equipment until his retirement in 1997.Richard served the City of London as a member of the City Council for 8 years between 2002-2007 and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 40 years and served as a Deacon and an Elder during his membership. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Elizabeth Gerard and his sister Elaine Maki. Richard is survived by his wife of 18 years Bonnie Gerard, children Jeannine Sisson, Jennifer Gerard, John Gerard, step children Chris Bow and Angie Simmons, their spouses, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in London, Ohio on March 25th.Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am with Rev. Gordon Johnson officiating.The family suggests memorials be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the Diabetes Association.
