SCURRY Randolph "Randy" Lee Scurry, Sr., 57, of London died Friday, June 30, 2017 in his residence. Born January 13, 1960 in Columbus; he was a son of Ralph Evans and Evelyn (Byrd) Scurry.cA USMC veteran, Randy had worked for the past 17 years at Staples in London. He was a member of Madison Memorial Post #105, American Legion and loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NC Tarheels. Survivors include his sons Randolph Lee Scurry, Jr. (Megan Blevins) and David Evans Scurry; grandson Karter Isaiah Scurry; brother Ralph Eugene (Chere) Scurry; niece Ashli Nicole Scurry; special friend Jake Minor; aunts and uncles Herschel (Dimitira) Byrd, Harold "Bug" (Mary Jo) Byrd, Lewis Byrd, Harold "Jack" Scurry and Beulah (Michael) Pinkston; numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the First Baptist Church, 250 Toland Avenue, London with Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5-8 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2017. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
