STRINGER Raleigh Jerry "Pete" Stringer, 78, passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Born on August 2, 1937, he was the son of John Will and Eva (McFadden) Stringer. He was a resident of London since 1962, where he retired from Madison County Hospital in 2003. Pete served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Wilkinson DL-5 from August 4, 1954 through July 28, 1959. He was a Post Commander of the former London VFW and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #950 and AMVETS of London. Pete was loved by many and leaves behind to cherish their time with him, the love of his life for 56 years, his wife Anita; the children he adored, daughters Lois Larkins, Melissa (Heath) Brewer and Niki (Sean) Lee. Also survived are grandchildren Zach (Kim) Larkins and Maria Carr; great-granddaughter Leilyn Meadow Larkins; siblings Joan (Tom) Buehler of Hernando, Florida, Clinton (Jean) Stringer of Hamilton, Ohio and Sandra (Ray) Boucher of West Jefferson, Ohio; brothers-in law Howard Hawkins and Walter Stepchuck both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and many nieces and nephews. At Pete's request there will be no services. The family is being served by THE EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY in London, Ohio.
