MOWERY
With heavy hearts, we honor the life of a remarkable woman whose strength, spirit, and love shaped all those who knew her. At 75, Pauline E. “Polly” Mowery, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Madison Health, leaving behind a legacy defined by determination, generosity, and an unwavering sense of independence that carried her through every chapter of her life.
For decades, she served as the Executive Director of the Columbus Dental Society, a role she filled with exceptional dedication and pride. Her leadership touched countless professionals, and her commitment to excellence helped elevated the organization in ways that will continue to be felt for years to come.
Outside of work, she embraced life with a joy that was unmistakable. She loved exploring new places, finding small treasures during her many shopping trips to Ross, and attending musicals that fed her appreciation for music and theater. She loved couponing and the joy of finding a good deal, always saving with heart and humor. Most of all, she cherished moments spent with her family – moments full of laughter, stories, and the deep love she carried for each of them.
As a devoted member of St. James Lutheran Church, she lived her faith with quiet kindness, steady compassion, and a generous heart. Whether she was clipping coupons, helping a friend, or lending her time at church, she made each day a little brighter for those blessed to know her.
She had an enormous heart for animals, always extending kindness and compassion to creatures big and small. And she found comfort and community with her beloved Waffle House crew, meeting several times a week to share good conversation, warm meals, and the companionship she treasured.
Headstrong and fiercely independent, she moved through the world with purpose and authenticity. Those qualities – along with her humor, warmth, and steadfast love – will forever remain in the memories of the people she leaves behind.
She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the family she adored, the friends she cherished, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
Polly was preceded in death by her father Ralph Triplett, mother Roberta (Steele) Triplett, and brothers Ivan, Mark, and Alan Triplett.
Left to cherish her memory include her companion Robert M. “Bob” Giehl, Jr.; nieces and nephews: Michael (Rebecca) Parsons, Vicki Parsons, Brett (Melody) Triplett, Matthew (Amanda) Triplett, and Marcia (Adam) Woody; several great-nieces, great-nephews; and cousins.
The Mowery family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140.
