HARKINS

Paul Wayne Harkins, age 69, of London, passed away early Sunday May 25, 2025, in London Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on October 8, 1955, in Cleveland, Paul was a son of Wayne Harkins and Ruth (Thiel) Harkins. Paul was raised in Elkins, West Virginia before his family later moved to central Ohio.

Following in his father's footsteps, Paul enjoyed working in food service management where he had numerous opportunities to travel for his company across the Midwest and down to the South, trips he always thoroughly enjoyed. An intellectual who could appreciate the solemnity of a good book, he later began a second career working for the former Borders Bookstore where his heart felt right at home. Each year, the coming of spring signified the long-awaited start of gardening season. Paul was sure to spend countless hours dedicated to his garden, a passion he truly relished in. However, Paul's lasting legacy will remain always visible through the many paintings he lovingly created that will forever be held dear by his family in remembrance of such an inspirational man.

Survivors include his sister Marilyn Pritt of London; niece Sara Pritt of Oregon, and Amy (Clayton) Burke of London; great-nieces Savanna, Sabrina, and Sara Burke; dear friends who were especially close to Paul, James and Kristi Pritt. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service to honor Paul's life will be held at the convenience of his family.
