MYERS Okey G. Myers, 72 of London died Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Born March 17, 1941 in Madison County; he was a son of Gale and Helen (Smith) Myers. A well know mechanic in the London area, Okey had worked for Bob Rigg Motors, Goodyear Chrysler Plymouth, was service manager at Rod Bell Ford, many years at London Parts and retired as manager of the Madison County Airport. A US Army veteran, Okey was also a huge classic car enthusiast. Survivors include his wife Jane (Woods) Myers; sister Joyce Colwell of London, nephew Marty (Tina) Colwell, nieces Tammy (Mike) Duvall and Stacy (Heath) Elliott; six great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Gayle Myers on June 23, 1977. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St, London with Pastor Carolyn Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to either the Reye's Syndrome Foundation or the American Heart Association.
