MARTINNormaJean Martin, 80, of London died Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Urbana. Born December 1, 1938 in South Charleston; she was a daughter of Schiller Ray and Hazel (Rogers) Thomas, Sr. A member of St. Paul AME Church; Jean loved fishing, knitting, watching her tv shows and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Survivors include her granddaughter Tamika (BJ) Wall, grandson Allen Haithcock; great-grandchildren Tamika, Treg, Kenya and Ava; great-great granddaughter Jayla: brothers Donald Thomas and Schiller Ray (Joyce) Thomas, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends; including special friends Sandy and Michael Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard Lee Martin, son Ricky L. Martin and sister in law Vivian Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday in St. Paul AME Church, London with Pastor Sandie Cunningham and Reverend Melvyn Huguely officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 AM until 1 PM Saturday. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Paul AME Church, 11 West Center St, London, Ohio 43140.
