PENNELL

Neval Christine Pennell, 91, formerly of London, currently of Calabash, North Carolina, died Monday, April 24, 2023.

Born February 28, 1932, in Mine Fork, KY, she was a daughter of Willie and Martha (Cantrell) Conley.

Neval had been a waitress at the Red Brick Tavern for 65 years and attended the Alder Chapel United Baptist Church in West Jefferson.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law John David and Tara Pennell; grandchildren Julie Pennell, Deanne Ruff and Kelli (Craig) Jackson; seven great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren; siblings Charles Conley, Patsy Runyon, Bill (Theresa) Conley and Ann (Jack) Hatcher; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Evan Pennell, son Donald Ray Pennell, brother Winifred (Mary) Conley, brother Donald Conley, in-laws Naomi Conley and Fred Runyon.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Deer Creek Township Cemetery, Lafayette.
