RODDY Neil E. Roddy, 93, of London, died at 10:13PM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in his residence. Born August 19, 1920 in New Holland, OH, he was a son of Frank L. and Lilly E. (Shaw) Roddy. Neil was employed by the International Corporation in Springfield for 35 years, retiring as a metallurgist on May 1, 1982. A U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, he was a past master of Chandler Lodge #138 F&AM in London. He had served as City Treasurer for the City of London for 22 years and was very active in the Indian Lake Community for many years, serving on various commissions there. Survivors are his wife, Helen (Morris) Roddy; 2 sons, Lee (Sue) Roddy of Springfield and Jim (Ruth) Roddy of London; 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Holly) Roddy of Coatesville, PA, Brent (Rachel) Roddy of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jill (Sean) Culler of Denver, CO, and Chris (Stephanie) Roddy of Gig Harbor, WA; 2 step grandchildren, Robyn (Devin) Thomas of Springfield, and Rhonda (Chad) Dunkley of London; 6 great grandchildren, Jacob, Cole, and Owen Roddy, Saxon and Olivia Culler, and Emma Roddy; 6 step great grandchildren, Billy, Katie, Colby, and Tony Dunkley, and Gwyn and Seth Thomas; 1 half-brother, Paul (Suzy) Bussert of Columbus, 1 half-sister, Mary (Bob) Presnell of Columbus; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Janis Roddy; and an infant grandson, Thomas J. Roddy. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY in London, from 4 to 7 PM Friday where Memorial Services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday.
