SILVERS Nancy Rae (Hess) Silvers, 79, of London died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in the Madison Senior Living Community. Born September 21, 1935 in Urbana, Ohio, she was a daughter of Richard M. and Ruth Anna (Newman) Hess. Nancy graduated from Salem Local High School. She worked for London City Schools for 25 years,, was a former LHS Golf Coach, a member of the former Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, a longtime member of the London Country Club, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Nancy participated in several card clubs, loved to garden, ride bikes, and she was very active in supporting and leading activities for her three children. Her love of yellow flowers reflected her sunny personality. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished by her children, Jill Silvers of London, Richard J. "Rick" (Lindy) Silvers of Medway, and Brad Silvers of London; grandchildren Chad and Shane Silvers; step-mother Mary Hess of Urbana; sisters Vicki (Roger) Miles of Bowling Green and Suzanne (David) Morris of Dayton, brother Richard Keith Hess of Urbana, nieces and nephews Teresa Reiser, Marty Fox, Kim Conaway, Michael Miles, and Jackie Gruss. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years Richard Silvers in 2011, and sister Sara Jane Fox in 1998. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, April 11, 2015, in the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, 103 N. Main St., London, with Father Christopher Coleman officiating.
