HOWLAND Michael Eugene Howland, 70, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 9, 2019 at his home in London, Ohio. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He leaves his beloved wife Susan of 38 wonderful years; his son Ryan (Chelsea) Howland; daughters Whitney Graham, Tina (Shaun) Stephens, Tisa (Randy) Bivens and Tarrah (Larry) McCoy; grandchildren Jered Willman, Randi Bivens, Bailey Stephens, Kamryn McCoy, Addison and Eli Howland, Bella McNeil and Aubree Glassborn; many other close relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene "Mike" Howland, mother Emaline Howland, brother Randy Howland and son Bradley Rutherford. In his earlier and younger years, everyone that knew Mike, knew he was an avid softball player. Playing first base, he was in many championship games with Car Shine, "The Dogs" and numerous other teams. He was passionate in coaching and teaching his son and daughters the game of any sports, mainly baseball, softball and football. He loved The Ohio State Football team most of all, along with OSU basketball and The Browns! Mike retired from Armly Brands in London, Ohio (formerly Purex, Dial, Church and Dwight) as a supervisor and manager of 45 years. He graduated in 1966 from The Plains High School in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, from 5-8 PM Thursday. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
