Obituary

HOLTON Michael "Mike" Dale Holton, 58, of London passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends November 11, 2017 at 1:42 p.m. in Mount Carmel West Hospital. Born March 19, 1959 in Columbus, he was a son of Roger Dale Holton and Mable Louise Johnson. Mike had been an Electro-Mechanical Project Specialist at the Brillo Manufacturing facility (Purex, Dial, Church & Dwight, Armaly Brands) in London for 40 years. Mike did not know a stranger. He had the gift of drawing people in but kept those he really loved and cherished in a small tight knit circle. If you were a part of that circle you were blessed. He was very talented in problem solving and fixing and making things. His intelligence, his beautiful eyes, strong hands, upstanding work ethic, his smile and his ornery sense of humor were some of his biggest assets. He was always willing to learn and teach those willing to learn. He shared himself as a 4-H advisor, a pit crew member and prop maker for the London High School Marching Band. He enjoyed bringing the Holton-Johnson family together every year at the annual HO-JO reunion. He was a lifelong Harley Davidson and Chevy enthusiast. He tried to like the Cleveland Browns; he loved the Columbus Blue Jackets and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was quite the talent at bowling, horseshoes and cornhole. Most importantly, He was so very proud of his children. Survivors include his wife and soul mate of 27 years, Jacqueline Holton, Son, Kenneth W. (Rebekah) Holton of Georgia, Daughter, Desiree Holton (Nicholas DeVivo) of California. Grandson, Kenneth D. Holton (Tiara Frew) of London, Granddaughter Madison Holton of Georgia. Great Granddaughter Alaya Holton of London. Beloved Brother Keith (Rebecca) Holton of Catawba, Beloved Sister Kathryn Spring of London. Beloved Nieces Aimee Holton Massie, Anna McCall, Allison (Eric) Connally, Stephanie (Kevin) Flax; Nephew Wesley Spring; Great Nephew Holton Massie and Great Niece Scarlet McCall; father in law, Ralph Jones of London.
