GRAY

Michael James Gray, 79, of West Jefferson, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in his residence.

Born May 3, 1943, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was a son of Carl Thurman and Madelyn Roberta (O'Bryan) Gray.

Michael had worked as a correction officer for LOCI from 1980-2007. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson.

He is survived by his daughter Bridgett Gray of West Jefferson, and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Sue (Welch) Gray, and brother Gerald Leon Gray.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, beginning at 6:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson, 686 West Jefferson Kiousville Road SE, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services. Interment will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Scioto Burial Park, 4757 McDermott Pond Creek Road, McDermott, Ohio 45652.
