FISHER

Michael L. Fisher, 73, passed away peacefully in Ohio State East Hospital on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Mike was born September 22, 1952, in Jamestown, Ohio to Gerald A. Fisher and Dorothy Irene (Humphrey) Fisher. Known for his strength, courage and unwavering dedication, he spent 37 proud years in fire suppression with the former Amtekco/Wasserstrom, where he earned the respect of coworkers and formed bonds that lasted a lifetime.

A man who believed in hard work and family, Mike was a member of the former London Jaycees Club and very active in volunteering for Tomorrow Stars where he devoted countless hours of support as well as maintenance services. He never backed away from a challenge and was always the first to step up when something needed to be done. Helping others wasn't just something he did – it was part of who he was.

He cherished the outdoors and looked forward to camping season every year. Some of his favorite memories were made at the camper, enjoying the simplicity of campfires, good company, and his favorite activity... cruising around the campground in his golf cart. He loved playing softball and bowling, spending quiet mornings at pay lakes, and chasing walleye on Lake Erie – always happiest with a fishing pole in hand.

More than anything, Mike was a devoted family man. He took immense pride in watching his grandson excel in sports, never missing a chance to cheer him on. A loyal and spirited Ohio State Buckeye fan, he celebrated every win with enthusiasm and shared countless game days with the people he loved most.

Mike will be remembered as a strong, courageous, and deeply committed man – one who worked hard, loved fiercely, and lived life with purpose. His presence made an impact on everyone who knew him, and his legacy of love, service, and strength will carry on through his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of 37 years: Sandra L. "Sandy" (Herman) Fisher; sons Mikey (Cindy) Fisher, Jr. and Mark Fisher, daughter Tamika (BJ) Wall; grandchildren: Ashley, Kyle, Jozlyn, Willow, Darine, and Ava; five great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; brother Danny (Donna) Fisher, sister Pam (Les) Cox; nephew Nick Cox, niece Brittany Cox; uncle Billy Humphrey, aunts Mary McHenry, Betty Rush, and Dodi Patton; as well as many cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Dorothy Fisher; paternal grandparents Arthur and Della Ann Fisher, maternal grandparents Robert and Helen Humphrey; nephew Jason Hahn.

The Fisher family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A homegoing celebration will commence at 1:00 PM with Reverends Damien Sneed and Melvyn Huguely officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London.

Memorials in Mike's name may be sent to benefit the First Baptist Church, 250 Toland Street, London, Ohio 43140.
