ALLEN

Michael "Mike" Allen, 62, of London, died Friday, December 30, 2022, in Scioto Community Nursing Home, Columbus.

Born February 4, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of William Richard and Leona (Hastings) Allen.

Mike had worked professionally as a truck driver, retiring from Forrest Trucking after almost 20 years. He truly enjoyed working and being on the farm with his father. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing at Madison Lake, and hunting whatever was in season. He was a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church, as well as a very avid NRA member. Mike had been surrounded by many friends who enjoyed his company. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and always strived to be the best possible grandfather to them. Mike loved his family dearly and will be terribly missed by many.

He leaves behind his mother Leona M. Allen; sisters Monica Rogers, Marlene (Doug) Toops, Michelle (Doug) Adams, Marsha (Mike) Toomey; children Shayne (Elizabeth) Allen, Amanda (Eric) Herron, Jonathon (Holly) Allen, David (Kellie) Allen, Brandy Allen; grandchildren Dalton, Lyndsey, Jason, William, Christian, Gabriel, Owen, Ian, Logan, Brooklynn, and Willow; uncle and aunt Paul and Beryldean Hastings; several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father William R. Allen and grandparents Paul and Jessie Hastings.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Interment will immediately follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, 1869 Old Xenia Road, London. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
