Maxine (Witbeck) McSavaney, 93, of London, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Madison Health

Born July 31, 1933, in Madison County, Maxine was a daughter of Hiram Witbeck and Faye (Weese) Witbeck. Maxine dedicated 26 years of warm service to London City Schools in the food department, nourishing generations of local students before her retirement in 1994.

Maxine faithfully attended the Newport Global Methodist Church and always remained a woman of strong faith. Her greatest joy in life was her family, whom she loved unconditionally, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and cherished memories.

Left to cherish her memory include her son John (Cheryl) McSavaney and daughter Darlene Brake; grandchildren: Cheron (Rob) Geesling, Stacey Seaburn, Amy (Cassi) Brake, and Richie (Aubrey) Brake; great-grandchildren: Kenna and Tyler Seaburn, Gavin and Tristen Brake, Cayden, and Adalyn Brake; sister Joyce Raub; several nieces and nephews.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Faye, and her beloved husband Richard “Dick” McSavaney, four sisters and one brother.

Cremation will take place. Public services will not be observed in accordance with Maxine’s wishes.
