MCNARY
Mary Faye (Warnock) McNary, 88, of London, died Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Madison Senior Living Community.
Born January 19, 1936, in Greenup, Kentucky, Mary was a daughter of William Warnock and Elizabeth (Fraley) Warnock. A graduate of London High School, Mary went on to work as a legal secretary before retiring as an office manager. Mary was a friend to many and a cherished member of the London and Mechanicsburg communities. She was a member of the London United Methodist Church, Phi Beta Psi philanthropic sorority and enjoyed playing bridge with many wonderful Burg friends for decades. She was also a 4-H advisor, a member of the Twentieth Century Club and the Married Ladies Thimble Club. She enjoyed Round Robin letters with high school friends for many years.
She was an active volunteer in London, generously giving her time to Madison County Hospital and the Madison County Historical Museum. She loved history and antiques, and had a life-long, impressive collection of antique toys and cherished hat pins.
It was the simple pleasures in life that made her happy, and she enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons with her family and extended family.
Mary is survived by three children: Anna Starr, Garth (Sherry) McNary, and Emily (Carter) Clark; grandchildren: Jamie McNary, Benjamin McNary, Ross McNary, and Henry Clark; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Patrick McNary; siblings Louise (Paul) Pagen, Chlotine (Don) McCord, Harry (Mabel) Warnock, Ben Warnock, Jane (Paul) Dillard, and Annamae "Tiny" (Jesse) Greer.
Mary's family would like to thank and express appreciation for the wonderful staff at the Madison Senior Living Community and Affinity Hospice and Palliative Care.
