HOPKINS

Mary Ruth Hopkins, 88, of London died Friday, August 19, 2022, in London Health and Rehabilitation.

Born January 7, 1934, in Rock Camp, Ohio, she was a daughter of William Luke and Cleo (Stilner) Hopkins.

Mary Ruth was an Army veteran and had worked and retired from the former Purex/Dial Corporation in London. She had attended the former Open Bible Church.

The matriarch, pioneer and staple of her family; Mary Ruth served as the family chauffeur, chaperone, mother, disciplinarian and loving aunt, sister and sister-in-law for all of the immediate and extended family. Survivors include her brother John David (Debbie) Faulkner of Wapakoneta; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Roger Cox, good friends Ray and Claudia Justice of London and Bill and Connie Eberle of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father William Luke Hopkins, mother Cleo Hopkins-Faulkner, stepfather Gilbert Faulkner; sisters Pricey Jo Hayes, Rose Cox, Georgia Adams and Susie Lewis; brothers Frank Hopkins, William Luke Hopkins, Jr., Clayborn Hopkins and Gilbert "Phil" Faulkner, best friend and companion Lucky.

Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at which time a service of Remembrance will be held.
