TACKETT
Mary Beth (Blankenship) Tackett, born March 30, 1954, in Lackey, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, at her residence in South Charleston, Ohio on September 19, 2024.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Roy Ray and Glessie (Taylor) Blankenship, as well as two brothers Jesse Thomas Blankenship and Bobby Doyle Blankenship; her late loving husband Rusty Tackett and her beloved son Jamie Roy Tackett; and mother-in-law Sarah Chaffin.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Sarah Beth (Tackett) and Josh Young, and her grandson Jesse Young who was the light of her life, all of South Solon, Ohio; sisters-in-law Brenda Crisp of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Susan Tackett of Huntington, West Virginia, Jennifer Tackett of New York, Dewana (Art) Winfree of Louisa, Kentucky; brothers-in-law Bobby Paul Tackett of Martin, Kentucky, Marty (Lisa) Tackett of Martin, Kentucky; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; along side her four best friends Anita Floyd of Columbus, Debbie McClain of Columbus, Joyce Dingus of Oak Hill, and Marla Stouffer of Springfield; plus Madison Hoover who was like a granddaughter to her.
Mary was a member of the Grace Community Church in South Solon. She loved to listen to gospel music, attend church, and her Friday Bible study. She loved to sing songs of praise to her Lord and Savior. Mary will truly be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, 12285 Kiousville-Palestine Rd, Mount Sterling, OH 43143, with Reverends Jim Blankenship and Bruce Sigman officiating. Interment will follow in South Solon Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be sent to Grace Community Church, 7224 E Main St, South Solon, OH 43153, for their Missionary Fund.
