ISAACS
With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate Marilyn J. (Sexton) Isaacs, a remarkable woman who passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at home, at the age of 92. A current resident of Summerville, South Carolina, and former longtime resident of London, Ohio, Marilyn carried with her a lifetime of memories, wisdom, and devotion to family and to her faith.
Born August 14, 1933, in Jamestown, Ohio, Marilyn was a daughter of Edmund Sexton and Ethel (Schwartz) Sexton. Born with a strong spirit and kind heart, she dedicated many years of professional service to the State of Ohio where she later retired from. Marilyn always saw her work as more than just a job – it was a reflection of her sense of responsibility and care for others. A devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in London, her faith was rooted with deep and abiding love. She found comfort and purpose in prayer, fellowship, and quiet acts of kindness that touched many lives in ways both seen and unseen.
In her later years, she made her home in Summerville, where she found joy in the warmth of the South and the closeness of community. Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for her family and with the grace with which she lived each day.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Merle Isaacs; son Steven M. (Cheryl B.) Isaacs, daughter Marla J. Fender; sisters Dora Kovac and Ethel Sexton, brother John Sexton; brother-in-law Vernon Isaacs; grandchildren: Shelley R. Scheer, John S. Isaacs, James P. Isaacs, Andrew G. Fender, and Daniel J. Fender.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Ethel.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2026, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 61 South Union Street, London, Ohio 43140. A prayer service will begin in the parish center of the church at 10:00 AM followed by an hour of visitation for family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will then start at 11:00 AM with Father Slawomir Siok officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
