HALLEY Mabel Louise Halley, 80, of London, died at 7:39AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Doctor's Hospital West in Columbus. Born July 11, 1932 in Fayette County, Ohio, she was a daughter of Ernest and Minnie (Williams) Johnson. She was employed for 20 years by RANCO in Plain City, and later had served as a cook at Madison Lanes bowling alley in London. Mabel enjoyed her grandchildren and she was an avid fan of OSU football and basketball, having kept meticulous statistics for both. She also enjoyed making "mug rugs." Survivors are a daughter, Kathryn L. Spring of London; sons Keith L. (Rebecca) Holton of Catawba, and Michael D. (Jackie) Holton of London; grandchildren Kenneth (Rebekah) Holton, Aimee Massie, Stephanie Spring, Wesley Spring, Anna Holton, Allison Holton, and Desiree Holton; great grandchildren, Kenny Holton, Holton Massie, Madison Holton, and Scarlet McCall; brothers, Gene (Ethel) Johnson, and Howard (Marlene) Johnson; sisters, Jane Smith, Geneva (Cameron) Miller, Ruth Ann Althouse, and Charlotte Newell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Zada Policaro. In accordance with Mabel's request, she was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London with Reverend Scott Griswold officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of services. Following the service, family and friends are invited to 36 West First Street, for a time of food and fellowship.
