BROWN

Louise G. Brown, 93, of London, passed away in the arms of her family on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at London Health and Rehabilitation.

Born April 16, 1931, in Tazewell, Virginia, she was a daughter of Arthur Compton and Ginnie (Johnson) Compton.

Louise worked for General Motors on the production line for 24 years. As ornery as they come, Louise was no stranger to playing a prank on others. She loved the color purple and always felt her best while wearing it. Additionally, Louise was a bingo player; however, bingo was never recreational to her, but rather more of a competitive sport. She would always strive to be the best player she could be, and never settle for anything less!

She enjoyed the musician that the facility brought in. Loved all the activities, outings and parties that were provided by London Health and Rehab Activity Director she loved all the people who worked there provided the love compassion and care 24 hours a day they made her feel like their extended family, and she felt the same about them.

She is survived by son Darryl Brown; grandchildren Zachary Brown, Kelly Brown, Sommar Brown, Tanya Scaggs, Shane Brown, Sheila (Matt) Dessel, Shannon Brown; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Roger (Patty) Compton, Ann Hughes, Betty (Eb) Clark, Helen Havens, Bobby Compton; many nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bernard Brown; son Ron Brown.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Phil Starr officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.

Memorials in Louise's name may be sent to benefit the London Health and Rehabilitation Resident Activity Fund, 218 Elm Street, London, Ohio 43140.
