Lorran "Dale" Thomas, 74, of London, died Friday, July 4, 2025, in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Born November 20, 1950, in Franklin County, Dale was a son of George Lester and Wilda Jean (Jester) Thomas. A graduate of West Jefferson High School in the class of 1969, Dale went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Dale had worked at the former Leonard's Butcher Shop and Walmart. A very artistic person, Dale enjoyed painting and playing the guitar. A substantial portion of his life was spent in Germany where he loved gardening and going camping. Collecting coins and other currencies was another favorite past-time he cherished.

He leaves behind his daughters Crystal Leanne (Michael) Thomas-Fritz and Emily Marie Thomas-Myers; grandchildren Marcel and Leo Fritz and Patric Delaney; nephews and niece Scott Ballard, Cory (Jennifer) Ballard, Darcy Ritchason and Charles George Thomas.

Preceding Dale in death were his parents, sisters Lorraine Gayle Ballard and brother George Lester Thomas, II.

A private celebration of Dale's life will be held at the convenience of the family.
