BROOKSHIRE
Lori Ann (Lyons) Brookshire, age 65, of Grove City, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 2, 1961, in Columbus, Lori was a daughter of Thomas Jay Lyons and Mary Katherine “Molly” (Evans) Lyons. Lori spent many successful years in hotel sales, where her vibrant personality and natural gift for connection allowed her to shine. Later in life, she brought that same passion working as the office manager for her husband, Arthur “Art” Brookshire, where they continued to work side-by-side for many years.
Lori was a member of the NRA and loved enjoying the freedom of the open road while riding her Harley Davidson. Autumn weekends were strictly reserved for football: she bled scarlet and gray for her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturdays, and then cheered on the Baltimore Ravens on Sundays. A fan of horse racing, she was always in her element picking a horse and watching races together with her family. Those days brought out her competitive side and will forever serve as a source of cherished memories for years to come.
In addition to her parents Thomas and Molly, Lori was preceded in death by her husband Art; sons Kahle and Shawn; sister Kathie Lyons; niece Mandy Hay.
Survivors include her siblings Denise Hay, Jon Lyons, Jennifer (Dale) Young, and David (Marty) Lyons; several nieces and nephews; aunt Sandy Evans; four-legged companions Rocky and Mia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM, in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Rd, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lori’s name may be sent to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation online at https://www.komen.org/ to help continue the fight against such a terrible disease.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences for the family may be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
