Obituary

Lori Crain

September 16, 1967 – March 15, 2025

Lori Crain, 57, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a woman who never met a crochet hook she couldn't wrangle, a crime show she wouldn't try to solve before the detectives, or a hungry family member she wouldn't offer to feed.

Born in London, Ohio, on September 16, 1967, Lori was the daughter of William and Judy Crain, who undoubtedly greeted her in heaven with open arms (and probably had a list of things they needed to ask and tell her about). She grew up and lived most of her life in South Vienna and was a graduate of Northeastern High School, Class of 1985, in Springfield.

Lori is survived by her children, Robyn (Anthony) Miller and Michael Crain; her sister, Lisa Crain (Terry Tolle); her nephews, William "Billy" Boysel and Zachary "Zach" Boysel (Brandy Havens); her granddaughters, Lilie and Isabel "Izzy"; and her grand-nieces, Willow, Sicily, Emberly, and Hadley, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth, curiosity, and ability to turn a simple ball of yarn into something made with love.

Lori's life was filled with simple joys—crocheting baby blankets for those she loved and birdwatching from the comfort of her chair while simultaneously sending hundreds of pictures asking everyone, "What bird is this?" More than anything, she cherished her family, finding joy in every moment spent with them.

Above all, Lori was a woman of faith. She carried her Christian beliefs in her heart and lived by them with kindness and devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and lessons will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A funeral service to honor Lori's memory will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London Ohio 43140 with Pastor Sue McClelland officiating.
