Lisa Meade Guthrie The Guthrie and Meade family mourn the passing of their beloved Lisa Meade Guthrie on Friday, October 7th, 2016. Lisa fought a long and courageous battle against breast and bone cancer for over seven years. She exited this world surrounded by her loving fiancé and family. Lisa was born in London, OH on Feb. 9, 1970, and was a graduate of London High School, where she excelled at basketball and volleyball. She furthered her education by earning a volleyball scholarship from Ohio Dominican College, obtaining a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management. She worked for several years as a store manager for Heilig-Meyers Furniture in North Carolina and Texas. Upon returning to London she served as a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier until the onset of her illness. She loved her children, family, her many friends and especially her fiancé, Todd Clevenger. Lisa is survived by her son, Christopher Jordan Guthrie, of Las Vegas, NV, and daughter Hannah Madison Guthrie, of London, granddaughter Olivia Rose Marie Guthrie and Jazmine Rutherford of London. Family includes parents Richard & Carol Meade of London, brothers Jay (Patty) Meade of Aiken, SC and Scott (Suzanne) Meade of Perrysburg, OH. Maternal aunts & uncles Gene (June) Blanchard of Sullivan's Island, SC, Tony Solesbee of Spartanburg, SC, and Vergie DeAntonio of Mount Pleasant, SC. Nephews and nieces include Tim (Morgan) Meade, Michael Meade, Sven Meade, and Sydney Meade. She also had many wonderful cousins of which she loved and cherished. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard & Helen Meade of London, Joseph & Carolyn DeAntonio of Sullivan's Island, SC, uncles and aunts Joseph DeAntonio, George DeAntonio, Ted and Patricia Zorn, and Joan Mary DeAntonio Solesbee, all of South Carolina. Lisa had an extended family, the Clevenger's and Daily's, who were very much a part of her life and whom she loved with all her heart. Members include Roberta Clevenger, Lisa, Billy (Kylie), Nicole Daily-Spangler, Mike, Tammy, Drew, Taylor, Tori C. Howard, Linda Puckett, Andy, Bobby and Nick Clevenger. Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 from 4-6pm with memorial services to follow at the St. Patrick Church Parish Center.
