CUNNINGHAM

Lionel Cunningham, 59, of South Charleston, died Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Born August 2, 1965, he was a son of Floyd and Andrea Cunningham.

Lionel enjoyed cooking, first as a line cook in Florida and then on the BBQ competition circuit. A huge football fan, he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes, but maybe enjoyed supporting youth athletics even more.

Those left behind to remember Lionel are many friends including Mike and Sherry Shaffner and MJ, Tony and Christina Eckleberry, Chris and Karen Wright, Marilynn Protsman, Archie Cordle, Roberta Smith and "Sis" along with several friends at Charleston Court Apartments.

Preceding him in death were his parents and special friend Bonnie Pratt.

No services are planned at this time.
