PETERSON Leroy (Pete) Peterson, Jr., 89 years old took his eternal flight Thursday, April 2, 2015; the spirit flew free. Released with love from his wife Nancy D. Peterson, daughters Pamela Smith, Leela Peterson, Brenda (Tony) Moncrief, beloved step-daughter Cathy Hoosier; brothers, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, Joanna McNeal, Ed and Joan Birmele and many other friends. Pete loved them all. While he was at "home" in the body he was absent from the Lord (2 Cor 5:6) and now he is resting in Jesus. Pete is also survived by his siblings Richard (Janet) Peterson, David Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Elden (Peggy) Peterson and Charles Peterson and a host of other family and friends and by his beloved Cocker spaniel Solomon. He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Sr. and mother Glenna (Gossett) Peterson, siblings Robert Peterson, Imojean Simmons, Kathryn Davis, Donald Peterson and Emerson "Buck" Peterson. Pete was a member of the First Baptist Church of London and the Buckeye State Sheriffs Association. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 1 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 103 N. Main St, London, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Memorial donations in Pete's name may be made to Heartland Hospice.
