BAIRD

Larry R. Baird, Jr., 56, of London died Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Born May 13, 1964 in Providence, Rhode Island; he was the son of Larry R. (Sr.) and Leah (Gillenwaters) Baird.

A 1982 graduate of Madison Plains High school; Larry had worked in heating and cooling as well as hospital maintenance. He was an avid sports fan and cheered fiercely for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys. Sports were one of his two biggest loves in life. Larry adored his family and didn't know a stranger. Everyone he met became a friend and someone to take care of. Many extra holiday plates were made and sent with him to various friends, family, and acquaintances who did not have people to celebrate with. Larry would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need and made sure the people around him knew he loved and cared for them. He was only a phone call away and would drop everything to help his family and friends.

He is survived by his family whom he loved very much, including daughter Jessica "Jessi" Baird (Kevin); mother Leah Baird, sister Toni McDaniel; nephew and niece Tyler McDaniel and Kayla McDaniel; great niece Erica McDaniel; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his favorite four-legged companion Brutus.

He was preceded in death by his father. The family wishes to thank a very special nurse, Jessica, for her tremendous care given to Larry during his time at Riverside.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Range Township Cemetery. The family is requesting all guests to wear face masks and social distance in order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines. If a medical condition does not permit you to wear a facial covering the family asks that you remain in your vehicle.

In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home for the benevolence of the family.
