Kim Joseph Ferrara, 72, of Mansfield, died Monday, March 18, 2024, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, with his daughters by his side.
Born September 10, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Pietro Joseph Ferrara and Marie Johanna (Glasser) Ferrara.
Kim started his professional career as an officer for the Mansfield Police Department before later becoming a social worker for Richland County. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed Corvettes, and also loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes play football. He also adored dogs, especially his beloved Cane Corso Jimmy and his Rottweiler Buck.
He leaves behind two daughters: Jennifer (Duane Jr.) Gamble and Nichole (Steve) Gheen; grandchildren Savannah Gamble, Pepper Gamble, Mykala Gheen, Trenton Gheen, and HanaJo Gheen; great-grandchildren Rylan and Raleigh Smith; brother James "Jimmy" Ferrara; long-time family friend Evelyn Betz; best friend Robert "Bobby" Davis. Kim was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of his family.
