GRAVES

Karen S. Graves, age 79, of London, passed peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, in the Madison Senior Living Community. Karen was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 30, 1945, and was the cherished daughter of Charles Cornell and Agnes (Browning) Cornell.

An avid animal lover, Karen pursued her passion caring for animals appropriately owning her own business specializing in pet grooming. She opened her heart to any animal she found herself taking care of, and they all seemed to love her back with mutual joy and affection. A steadfast believer in the Lord, Karen was also a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her stepdaughters Brenda Braithwaite and Joyce (Jim) Ashdown; several step-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marcia Cornell; nephews Scott, Matthew, and Jesse Cornell.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don Gene Graves; brothers Jack and Ronald Cornell; stepdaughter Toni Graves; and nephew Paul Cornell.

A graveside service to honor Karen will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM in Somerford Township Cemetery, 830 State Route 56 SW, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Amanda Stufflebeam officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Karen's name are encouraged to be sent to either the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), a foundation always close to her heart, or to support her dedication in caring for animals through the Madison County Humane Society, 2020 State Route 142 NE, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.
