Karen Sue Hammons, 74, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 19th, 2024, in the quiet of her home, as the sun went down, with her beloved candles lit. We mourn the loss of her hugs, her wit, her smile and her love. Words can hardly describe her beautiful authenticity. While we mourn this great loss, we're grateful she's in the heavenly place.

Born December 19, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Richard Crace and Althea (Pitts) Whited.

Karen had worked as a quality control specialist for Revlon for over 25 years before retiring in 2004. She was an avid reader, with an immense love of books and history.  She adored hummingbirds, patio time, music, cabin trips, candles, and coffee, but her greatest joy of all was family gatherings, being surrounded by loved ones enjoying their smiles and laughter.

She leaves behind a daughter, Shannon Hammons of Coshocton; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; siblings Cathy (John) Hall, Toni (Tom) Daniels, Jeff Whited, Randy (Jane) Crace, and Ed Bower; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Kenneth Hammons; daughter Cynthia Hammons, son Richard Hammons; brother Michael Whited, sister Diane Bower.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Annie Sage officiating.
