ROBERTSON

Joyce Ann Robertson, 88, of London, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the Bluebird Retirement Community, London, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 9, 1935 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, she was a daughter of Lonzo and Myrtle (Witt) Finchum.

Joyce was a graduate of Madison Rural High School in the class of 1954. She was a member of the Newport United Methodist Church where she was also very involved in the UMW group and was a longtime organizer of the church's annual fall dinner. Joyce's love for her family was unmatched, and her children were always the highlight of her life along with her church family.

She leaves behind four children: Lisa (Harold) Howerton, Kevin (Kerie) Robertson, Jason (Leeann) Robertson, Victor (Suzanne) Robertson; grandchildren: Bart (Heidi) Howerton, Seth (Amanda) Howerton, Sidney Robertson, Korben Robertson, Corey Olley, Corbin Olley, Kohl Robertson, Tiffany Brock, Ally Robertson, JJ Robertson, Zane Robertson, Brenton Robertson (fiancée Madison Trein); great-grandchildren: Taylor (Travis), Drew, Ty, Ace, Bodhi, Alina; great-great-granddaughter Rosie; brothers: Mike (Judy) Finchum, Lonnie (Vicki) Finchum, David (Judy) Finchum, Rick Finchum; numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Kenneth Robertson in 1993; siblings: Jewel Murry, Allen Finchum, Thelma Swan, Jeff Finchum.

The family invites friends to visitation on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Newport United Methodist Church, 80 Center Street SE, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, April 7, 2023, beginning at 10:30 AM with Pastor Wayne Stuntz officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials in Joyce's name be made to the Newport United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church during services.
