With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Josh M. Cain Sr., who died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Madison Health, at the age of 48. Born December 22, 1977, in London, Josh was a son of Rick Cain and Mary (Knisley) Cain.
He dedicated many years of his life working as a mechanic for Joe Joe’s Auto, where he was known for his skill, patience, and willingness to help others. He took great pride in his work and was proud to form friendships with both coworkers and customers alike.
Josh had a big heart and a love for life’s simple joys. He especially loved spending time with his kids and always loved his animals. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering with cars, staying active in the gym, and cheering on his favorite teams – the Michigan Wolverines and San Francisco 49ers.
Left to cherish his memory include his girlfriend of twenty years: Marcia Cain; sons Braelon Cain and Joshua Cain Jr.; father Rick Cain; brother Ricky (Jen) Cain Jr.; brother-in-law William Moore II; niece Logan Cain and great-niece Rosaline Castillo; aunt Libby Cain, uncles Brian Cain, Sam Cain, and Donald Knisley, Jr.; several cousins.
Josh was preceded in death by his mother Mary Kay Cain; sister Patty Cain; maternal grandparents Donald Knisley Sr. and Patricia Knisley, paternal grandparents Henry Cain and Peggy Cain; uncles Tim Cain and Paul Knisley, aunt Wilma Knisley; cousins Paul Knisley II and Travis Knisley.
Cremation will take place in accordance with Josh’s wishes. Public services will not be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Josh's name may be sent to the funeral home for the benevolence of the family to offset funeral expenses. Memorials may be submitted below through the donation link, or by contacting the funeral home directly.
