Obituary

TEPE

It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well lived that we remember Joseph Edward Tepe, a remarkable man who touched so many hearts. Joe passed peacefully at home on Saturday, April 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 17, 1955, in Cincinnati, Joe was a son of Harry Thomas Tepe and Anna Marie (Jung) Tepe. At 70 years old, he was truly larger than life – a man whose presence filled every room, not because he demanded attention, but because he gave so much of himself to others. He lived with a servant’s heart, always putting people first, always asking what he could do to make someone else’s day a little brighter.

Joe had a gift for bringing people together. Whether it was a holiday, a backyard gathering, or just an ordinary evening, he made it feel special. He loved to entertain, and no one ever left his home hungry. An amazing cook, he found joy in preparing meals for others, pouring love into every dish he served. For him, food wasn’t just nourishment – it was connection, comfort, and celebration.

An avid golfer, Joe found both peace and camaraderie on the course, especially at the Hickory Hill Golf Course in Grove City where countless memories and friendships were cherished deeply. Off the course he embraced life’s simplest pleasure: a cold Miller Lite in hand, a cigar shared among friends, and laughter echoing into the evening.

Faith was a cornerstone in Joe’s life. As a devoted Catholic and faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, he lived his beliefs through kindness, generosity, and unlimited compassion. More than anything, Joe will be remembered for how he made people feel – welcomed, cared for, and valued. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit create a legacy that will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 34 ½ years, Kristy (Logue) Tepe; son Joe (Whitney) Tepe and their daughter Adelynn, daughter Jennifer (Melvin) Taylor and their children Cameran, Savannah, Marlie, Miles and Weslie, daughter Lindsey (Jon) Bollinger, son Alex (Ingrid) Tepe and their son Emmett, son Daniel Tepe and his son River, son Aaron Tepe; siblings Thomas Tepe, Mary (Larry) Nordhauser, Andy (Jackie) Tepe and Anne (Bob) Knodle; nieces and nephews Harry (Andrea) Tepe, Therese Tepe, Sarah Tepe, Patrick Tepe, Lauren (Donnie) Seeley, Abbie (Ed) Murphy, Andrew Turner, Matt (Kaylee) Tepe, Emma (Dylan) Bryan, Robbie Knodle, Brian Knodle and Michael (Nhi) Knodle; In-laws Mary and Bobby Carr.

Preceding Joe in death were his parents and brother Patrick Tepe.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 61 South Union Street, London, with Father Mark Ghiloni and Father Slawomir Siok concelebrating. Friends may call in the Parish Center of the church from 10:00 AM until time of services. Private interment in St. Patrick Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

For those wishing to remember Joe, memorials in his name may be made to LifePointe Family Center, 57 West High Street, London, Ohio 43140.

The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio; where online condolences for the family may be sent to www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
