DIEHL Joseph L. Diehl, 95, of Columbus died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Columbus. Born December 6, 1920 in Chillicothe, he was a son of Arthur and Mabel (Brannon) Diehl. Joe had served in the Coast Guard during WWII, and had been a salesman with US Mineral Products. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, previous member of the Masonic Lodge and had belonged to the Gahanna Lions and past president of the Gahanna Lions. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Carolyn (Hudson) Diehl, son Joe (Amy) Diehl and grandson Nick Diehl of London, many nieces and nephews and sisters in law Anna Hudson and Bonnie Sellers. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Margaret, an infant son Peter, his parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Rev. Fred Diehl officiating.
