HARSH

John R. Harsh, Sr., 87, of Plumwood, died Friday, January 7, 2022, in The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.

Born September 11, 1934, he was a son of James Daniel and Alta J. (Stockwell) Harsh. John was a retired welder with the former Hoppes Manufacturing in Springfield and was a US Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his children Jody (Ron) Lentz, Terry (Gina) Hughes, John Harsh, Jr. and Karen S. Smith; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his caregivers Rob and Sonja Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Harsh, brothers Raymond and James Harsh and sisters Mildred Sue Sargent and Norma Jean "Rose" Clifton.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Friday, January 14, 2022, in Plumwood Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
