POTTER

John K. Potter, 78, of Springfield, died Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Oakwood village, Springfield.

Born June 23, 1946, in London, he was a son of Lloyd McDonald and Ruth Elizabeth (Cummins) Potter.

John loved golfing and bowling. He was a huge Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan and was quite the World War II historian. He had retired from Sedwick as a processor and had attended the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his children Sandra Potter, Barbara (Michael) Carlson and Aaron (Rachel Kemp) Potter; grandchildren Andrew Tackett, Jeremy Tackett, Nicholas Carlson, Koa Potter, Matthias Potter, Tytan Potter, Kenny Elliott and Zoey Elliott; great-grandchildren Adrianna, Bryor, Ivory, Nova, Layla and Luke; brother David (Debbie) Potter, sisters Marilyn Bussey, Connie Toops, Sharon Potter and Linda Price; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents Ruth (Cummins) Potter Early, Lloyd M. Potter, stepfather Earnest Early, grandson Copley Tackett, brother James "Jim" Potter, and brothers in law Gene Bussey and Bill Toops.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 1, 2024, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of services.
