FLYNN
John A. Flynn, 62, was called home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Madison Health, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born October 25, 1963, in London, he was a son of Joseph Leo and Hazel Mildred (Boysel) Flynn.
John had been a diesel mechanic with Flynn Towing for many years. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built through the years.
A proud member of the F.O.E. Aerie #950, John enjoyed the camaraderie and lifelong connections he made there. In his free time, he could often be found on the golf course, in the woods hunting, or out on the water fishing – activities that brought him peace, happiness, and many treasured memories with family and friends.
John leaves behind his partner and companion of over 20 years Jessie Peterman and her two sons Brandon Bricker and Ryan Bricker; special grandson Colton Bricker; sister Beverly Hubbard (Kenny Skaggs), brother Jerry (June) Flynn; nieces Jennifer (Daniel) Robinette and Cherie (Nate) Phillips, nephews Joshua (Monica) Flynn and Dustin (Michelle) Hubbard; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents Joseph and Hazel, nephews Shane Iams and Joseph Flynn and his beloved four-legged friend Noodle, who was always his partner in crime.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 12:00 Noon – 2:30 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Funeral services will commence at 2:30 PM with Pastor Tim Rash, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
Online condolences for the family are encouraged to be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
