PAYNE

Joanne Hoosier Payne, 85, of London died Sunday, September 22, 2019 in her residence.

Born January 14, 1934 in Madison County; she was a daughter of Gus and Zera (Napper) Hoosier.

Joanne retired from the former Dial Corporation after 27 years of service.

Survivors include her sons Cornelius "Butch" Payne, Jr. of Youngstown and Michael Payne of Monroe, LA; grandson Cornelius Payne, III, granddaughter Adenia B. Leonard; three great grandchildren; sister Jackie Boronell of FL, brother Gus Hoosier, Jr. of London and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey Lynn Payne in 1995; brothers and sisters Pearl Hoosier Trent, William "Hoot" Hoosier, Ralph Lee Hoosier, Elizabeth Hoosier, Virginia Goldston, Joe Boy Hoosier, Norman "Hawk" Hoosier, Mary Ellen Hoosier Cox, Ercel Hoosier Hill and Bobby Hoosier.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Tyrone Artis and Evangelist Jackie Boronell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Saturday.
